Green City Run – Women’s Edition – Taking exercise in a group can be fun and inspiring and provides an opportunity for new encounters.

Run a stage on the Green Marathon route with our special guest, Chantal Cavin - over 5 or 10 kilometres.

The GREEN CITY RUN – Women’s Edition aims to bring together hobby joggers, casual walkers, club runners and running groups for a unique run on the most beautiful jogging route in the city of Zurich!

Special Guest Chantal Cavin
After a sporting accident at the age of 14, Chantal Cavin went blind from one day to the next. However, this never stopped her from following her urge to keep moving and to devote herself to sport. Today she is one of the most successful disabled athletes in the world. She is multiple world champion and world record holder in para swimming (50 m crawl, 100 m crawl), has participated in the Paralympics in Athens, Beijing and London and completed five Ironman events. Her best time in the marathon is 3 hours 14 minutes. Be inspired by her energy and take the opportunity to run to the finish with Chantal.

Who can take part?
The Green City Run is for EVERYONE: what counts is the shared experience among friends, acquaintances, neighbours or work colleagues. The Women’s Edition aims to connect women who are interested in and enthusiastic about running. Of course, men are also very welcome to take part.

What is the Green Marathon Zurich?
The Green Marathon route connects the most beautiful green oases and the best views of the city all year round in a 42-kilometre running route. Whether hiking enthusiasts, casual joggers or runners with specific training goals; the Green Marathon welcomes anyone who likes to exercise in natural surroundings and discover the city in the process.
